We favour East Fleet, been there 3 times now.
Be sure to take your lads to the Nothe Fort in Weymouth, I'm sure they'll love it and it's reasonably priced, but park in the town and walk. The car park at the fort is horrendously expensive!
We second East Fleet as been there 4 times now. Tent pitches have good view of the Fleet Lagoon (which is part of Chesil Beach) with direct access to coastal footpath. If you get good weather there are stunning sunsets
Weymouth is only 3 miles by car and there is also a bus service from outside Reception if you don't want to take the car. Lovely safe sandy beach at Weymouth.
East Fleet itself has an excellent washblock in both the Upper Field and Stable Field - I think they also have family bathrooms.
There's a small kids playpark in the Upper Field next to the washblock and a bar onsite serving food in the evenings. There is also a well stocked shop.
Lots to do in the surrounding area as well. However, the Sea Life Centre in Weymouth is expensive - £16 per adult!!!!
