Hi. There's a lovely camp site at Satterthwaite, about 6 miles from Allithwaite. It's called Bowkerstead farm, run by Arthur Threlkeld. It is about 500 yards from Satterthwaite village, with a nice pub called the Eagle's head. Failing that, there's a good one in Ulverston, a bit further, possibly 12 miles, but nice and friendly. Can't remember it's name, though, so not much help. It is NOT Bardsea leisure park.
