Hi everyone

We are heading off to Cumbria in our Campervan in August, and would like to find out if there are any Adult Only Sites in that area .... The only one we can manage to find is Ashes in Kendal.

Hope someone can help

Haven't used Ashes (as I have kids) but I live in Kendal and the location is nice, between Kendal and Sedbergh, nice and quiet and in a great area for trips to both towns as well as the lakes

I like the look of  Larches Caravan Park. but they don't seem to have a website anymore, the website link on here hasn't been working for months .

I've found a bit more information out about the site by doing a Google search, but why haven't they got a website anymore?

Before our daughter came along we used The Ashes near Kendal 3 years in a row for a weeks break. Great site, ideal for touring north and south Lakes as well as the Yorkshire Dales.

Hi everyone

Thanks for all your replies.  I had a look at the sites you all mentioned, and we decided in the end to book the Ashes Campsite as it seems to be in the right area for the part of the Lake District we want to explore, and it seems to have very good reviews.  We are only going to be there for 3 nights before moving South and would like to visit Ambleside, Windermere and Hawkshead. We are going to save the rest of the area for another longer holiday.

Hi

We visit Larches regularly. It's a nice, well kept site. I believe the young daughter is currently working on the website.

Advantages of the Larches for us are the well spaced pitches and excellent shower/toilets, as well as peace and quiet especially throughout the school holidays.
