Hey all

Im booked to bvisit this site next week , anyone know if its any good ?

We had a rally there last year.

Grass pitches all level, hook ups.

The biggest disappointment was the small ancient portacabin toilet/shower unit.

From memory one or two toilet cubicles and sinks and one shower cubicle which required you to step out of the cubicle into entrance area of the toilet area to dry off! This arrangement was repeated for the ladies.In need of total refurbishment.

I posted comments on this website last year after our visit and the pub /site landlady posted in reply saying that they were hoping to renew the block as soon as funds were available. I would be interested to know if this has been done yet.

The saving "grace" for the  site is the adjacent pub which serves good beer and excellent food, also has a skittle alley.

Situated just south of the Bath and West showground before you reach Castle Cary.

I live nearby, in Yeovil.  Plenty to do in the area, Haynes motor museum just down the road which is fantastic if you like cars and they often have special events in the summer.

Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and the Cheddar caves make a lovely day out and plenty of countryside for wandering around.  Yeovil has a country park called Ninesprings, fnd the swimming pool and you have found Ninesprings.  Lovely walks up through and free apart from parking.
