We are very interested in going to Cofton Country holidays camping on August 14 as they have availability. Has anyone been there?

I  also like the look of Ladys Mile campsite, but there are no reviews, so I searched the internet and found some good and some terrible reviews, so don't know what to think now.

Has anyone been to Peppermint Park?

Personally, I would give Lady's mile a very wide berth. Cofton is gorgeous, (a bit hilly), but it would get my vote above all others in Dawlish. Peppermint can be very very crowded in August but is in a better position for access to the beach etc.

peppermint is all about location. you're tightly packed in. the facilities are kept to a high standard, & are professionally cleaned throughout the day & night. the club on site is poor. the pool not great with weak swimming kids (very small shallow end). but being only a short walk from the warren certainly made up for all the pitfalls while we were there.

we stopped at cofton the year before & that is a lovely park. good facilities. nice swimming pool & grassed area surrounding. lovely pub on site with kids entertainment separate upstairs. small arcade for the kids. unfortunately have to drive & park at the warren - not a good walk & the bus is expensive for a family.

finally, peppermint is very expensive to stay at

have a good time - we did both times

ps have a meal at the anchor in cockwood - it was fantastic food 2-3 years ago. can't imagine it's changed

& if you do take an evening stroll down to cockwood, take torches as the road back is poorly lit

i can only say try them for yourself people have different views of what they expect.!!! we used to stay at peppermint park (dont anymore) its expensive, pool / club not good have t drive through all static vans an cabins to rear fields which is 50% seasonals.we now stay at lady mile fab pool / shop / club (better then peppermint) / pitch were you like (you can be quiet and secluded or not as there is a choice of 4 fields we return EVERY YEAR for our main summer hols and have never been disapointed. also last weekend stayed at leadstone (only because we couldn't get on ladys mile) nice site, no club / pool / shop .i can email ya photo's of lady's mile when we were there in june 08 if you want.

Just about to book Cofton. Can't wait. Hope the weather will be ok for 14th Aug.

Have never been to Dawlish Warren, but it looks a great place for us to take the kids and the nearby beaches all look fab.

I have spent nearly 2 weeks at cofton 2 years ago  , loved it , kids did too .
