Could anyone recommend coastal(ish) sites both in the Gower and Pembrokeshire? We're going in September so the weather may be a bit unpredictable, so an electric hook-up and a bit of shelter would be good (but I'm hoping for the best!!)

Thank you....

AK

CL Ivy Cottage if you are a caravan club member on the Gower, you can walk to the beach from there its a bit steep but worth it. Llyther Meadow Caravan Club site in Pembroke, nice site not far from the beach, nice walks along the coastal paths and nice beaches.

taffy,

Thanks for that.

Is Ivy cottage really £15/night and is it worth it??

Also, in Pembrokeshire I notice your recommendation is a Club site....so is Freshwater East a good location?

Thank you

The Coppins CL looks very nice is VERY popular, and *I think* won some awards. It's about 10 mins from Tenby and 5 mins from Saundersfoot. Looks very nice when I've driven past.

Ivy Cottage as far as i know is £10 a night this year and £15 next. Freshwater East is a nice site close to the beach and coastal paths,as is Llyther Meadow.

Thanks everyone....I'm slowly forming an idea of the places to stay. I went to France last year and put in less preparation!!...just had camping cheques and went to sites that took them...simple.

I think I will book a couple of nights at Gowerton club site and then we'll have chance to have a good look around the Gower a decide where to stay.

Taffy, I was thinking about the Freshwater East site at it looks to be just a short walk to the beach and thanks for the Ivy Cottage details, I'll give them a ring.

Thank you

AK

Oh Woody thanks for the Coppins CL details...looks a very tidy site....I'll have to print out all of the details and take them with us.

I'm hoping that it'll be an Indian summer in September...because it's a British summer here at the moment...weekend looks more promising though.

Thanks

Cheers Andy...I'll put it on the list. I'm going to play it a bit safe and see what the weather is when we're due to go, because some of the sites will be exposed to the elements.
