Hi my daughter now does not want to come with us camping anymore, old teenager, better things to do and all that. We were thinking of trying an adult only site but are worried that people wont like us playing badminton, frizbee, are adult only sites full of drunken groups or pensioners, so many questions has anyone got any advice please, we are young early forties thanks.

I only go on adult sites and to be honest I have only seen one couple playing frisbee, usually adult sites are pretty quiet and reserved which I personally like because I have a noisy, busy life so welcome the change, haven't seen to many drunken pensioners but definitely a very squiffy middle aged woman, well there was in my awning anyway
I've only been to an adult only site once and am booked into another at the end of the week. We've chosen an adult only site because our 10 month old Jack Russell goes mad when he sees footballs or frisbees and would drive us...and everyone else mad by barking to join in. There was a mix of age groups on the adult only site we stayed at, ranging from young couples to pensioners. There was also a group of twenty somethings who had come to have a party. The site owner made sure the partying crowd were well away from the main field so they were no problem. Everyone was friendly and we had a lovely time. We're 39 and 41 and our children won't come camping with us anymore either.
We got to adult only sites because sometimes we can't be botherd with kids who are up at 6am screaming and playing ball around around our pitch. Now responsible parents who are in the majority don't allow their kids to do that but there are a few that leave the kids to their own devices while they have a lie in.
I don't hate kids in the least we do use non adult sites and go to meets but sometimes we like peace while we are away.
I wouldn't have any problems with adults playing badmington or frisbee as long as you weren't screaming like kids or up at 6am playing ball. My dog might want to join in. Especially with the frizbee.

Helen, the adults only site we visited provided games for you. They had a badminton net up, a boules pit and 'pitch and put'. We had a wonderful time. My and my OH are in our 40s and there were lots of other couples our age there enjoying a child free holiday.
Just wish there were more adult only sites around.
Thanks for all the replies, I just didnt want to end up on a site feeling as though I couldnt crack an egg, we are not noisy by any stretch of the imagination, in fact we moved house 3 years ago because of noisy neighbours, we just like the odd but of sporty competition, we have just returned from a site with afore mentioned screaming kids running wild, dogs barking all day because selfish parents went out for the day and left them all behind.
