I love just sitting soaking up the view at North Ledaig, I can feel a west coast rip coming on.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I know. I love the place. Its a bit far for a week I think but you never know we may go in the end. Would love a seasonal pitch there but there is a big list :(
We just got back from a lovely weekend at Pond Farm in North Norfolk. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway for couples or families as they are accomodated in separate fields. Children had a wonderful time on site playing with other families and also on huge local sandy beaches which are unspoilt and lovely.
Please note my username is Pond Farm which was a technical mistake on my part - I am not the owner of Pond Farm!
Hi Janus. Have you been to the New England Bay CC site . If so can you tell me what its like and the area. We like somewhere quiet where we can walk the dogs.
Thanks
Linda

We first went there in 2000 and have been every year since. It is a very large site with open areas surrounded by gorse, it looks to be a grassy site on a sandy base but when you try to put awning pegs in you realise that it is just a bit sandy on top of pebbles, but ysually there isn;t a problem pegging out. The site overlooks a wide sandy beach which is accessed by crossing the 15yds or so of sand dunes. The beach is basically only used by the people on the site as there is nothing else around. the beach is big enough to walk a dog on, and just a couple of miles away across the other side of the mull is Port Loag with another vast and sandy beach ( 10000 acres of sky was filmed there ), there is lots of wildlife about, Port Patrick is worth a visit, and if you really want to walk miles then the sandy bach at Sandhead goes literally for about 7 miles without interuption so you could have a 14 mile round trip walk. All the way along the Mull are little car parks with viewing places looking out to sea and all sorts of seabirds about. To me the Mull is just a little piece of heaven, not magnificent like North ledaig just peace perfect peace.
Well.... dont know if this helps but im staying on a CL site with C&CC from Saturday, they only allow five vans/campers/tents on at any time, all campers go in the orchard! and........ they have a private beach! and full shower/toilet fac as well and only £10 a night! and its about 20 mins from Bideford!
Hope this fits the bill!
Another site we looked at was within walking distance of the beach really secluded and only £4 a night! lol
