Im hoping to book for a nice campsite this weekend.  Im now hoping to camp coniston way.  Does anyone have any holiday snaps of campsites in this area.  Sounds an odd request but alot of the campsites in this area dont have websites and Id much prefer asneek preview of what to expect as Ive been disappointed on a couple of occasions ie very hilly.

Thanks x

Dont know if mike+judi mean the CC site at Park Coppice, Coniston.

If they do then it's well recommended. Even if you have tent. The tent feild is brilliant and clse to all the amenities !

That site is a Caravan Club site, not a C&CC site. They do accept tents. On their website you can see photographs of the site.
Tried to post a link, but got an error message, hope this works.

Thanks guys.  Had a look at the sites but im not currently a member of the c and cc unfortunately but thinking of it as we have started to camp more now. Which site in Torver do you recommend Ive had a look but only a couple of reviews.

Tried quite a few now and not having much luck as most are fully booked.  Have seen and liked a couple in Keswick but cant book and not sure Id be happy to pack up the car with a couple of over excited children to be turned away.

But not going to give up im on a mission now lol

There are a few in the area. Coniston Hall is quiet nice provided it doesnt rain too much. Its next to the lake if you fancy a paddle. Some nice walks near there. And the site is quite flat.

There are a couple of nice ones in Torver but I forget the name. They are on the campsite search on this site.

Good luck.

You don't need to be a member to stay at Coniston CC site if you are a tenter.....you don't even have to pay the non member fee as I enquired a while back for some friends so it may still be an option for you.
