Hi all, new to this.  Well myself, my mum and sister would like to try camping with our children (4 between me and my sister and all under 10) which means there is 7 of us.  We have a 8 man tent and all the stuff so all ready to go.  We have looked online and would like to go to the New Forest.  Found one which we liked the sound of so phoned up to book but found they can only allow 6 on one pitch!  Have been told that we would have to book 2 pitches! We only have one tent and I am not prepared to pay 2 lots of £110 for 3 nights!!

Does anyone know of a campsite in the New Forest that allows 7 people on one pitch?? Or does it apply everywhere?

So they'll accept an 8 man tent with 6 people in it but not 7  ?

We have never been turned away, but have been told that 8 is the max on a pitch.  best to and check on the one your interested in.
