Hi all,

We are off to Littlesea on August 16th for 2 weeks has anybody been recently. The las review was July and i think it has been on a while. Also are there any pitches to hopefully avoid.

Many thanks.

Forgive me for being blunt but dont take too much from the reviews, having booked at a haven site (perran sands) then reading the reviews i was not looking forward to my holiday. When we got there i couldnt believe it was the same site that we were looking at.Best way is to go enjoy yourself and draw your own conclusions.

Have a nice time!!!!!!! Remember its a haven site so there will be a certain standard  at the park.

We went in June and thought it was great!!!

The site toilets and showers are superb!!!

The entertainment is iffy but it is mainly aimed at kids and families which in that case is good.

The on site shop is reasonable prices and there is a small tesco at the top of the road.

Hope you enjoy your hoilday and mae sure you pay a trip to monkey world !!!

Hi,

Thanks for those, glad about the toilet and shower facility being good. We are going to enjoy ourselves and relax for 2 weeks. Our 2 kids love being busy so Haven suits our needs a great deal.

Thanks for the info about the Tesco was wondering if one was near. Monkey world sounds really good.

Thanks again.

Vikki

the toilet and shower block was re built last year to a very high standard

as for pitches to avoid this depends on your point of view but i personally would not want a pitch over looking the lagoon.

great places to eat in weymouth are as follows

the lodmore on the preston road next to the sea life center

on the same road about a mile further on between weymouth bay and seaview holiday park is a pub called the spice ship these do great meals and are very resonably priced be warned though they get very busy for sunday dinner which is excellent.

We were there in June. (See our review)

The wardens were great, the Haven site clean and friendly. Toilets very clean and fresh smelling. The pool and entertainment facilities we enjoyed. Also starbucks coffee mmmm!

We went out to Portland Bill and sat in the car at the top eating fish and chips and enjoying the view (don't stop in the first car parking area the views are far better from ones further along - not so many bushes and trees!)

I'm sure you'll have a lovely time. Even in the wet and mud we enjoyed it, but the soggy pitches were not nice, and unfortunately there is no getting away from that. I have to agree with the fact that because the pitches are marked out the wear is all in the same places - we had a dip under the awning carpet just by the door of the van where a puddle of water collected unseen and if you forgot your feet got wet!

Hopefully the weather will be dry for you.

Take a look at my review, we stayed there a few years ago and loved Littlesea.

We are off to Haven at Rockley Park in Dorset on 16th August for a week. Can't wait.

Hope you have a great time.
