Hello folks.......Just a quickie. We have just come back from a week at Monkey Tree, and have to say we were far from impressed. The pitch was okay but that was about it. The toilets and washing facilities were horrible, the one nearest to our pitch was way to small and filthy. The on site facilities were not up to much especially for the kids. The games room/arcade was a joke with most of the machines either broken or so warn out playing on them was far from easy. There appeared to be no control over what went on in there with under 18's having free range on the gambling machines. The on site take away needed a serious clean and the staff serving were far from health & safetly consious with hair down and food left out on the side etc....Generally the place just needed alot more care put into it.

Obviously this is only our opinion, im sure there are people out there that had a different experience....but I thought I would post my view.

Interestingly we have recently got back from there and thought it to be a very good site!

As I said, it is only my opinion, but I can't see how under 18's playing on gambling machines and having to wash next to somebody taking a leak can in anyway be good. Granted the pitch was nice and the pitch sizes were spacious, but for me and my family and the friends we went with, the onsite facilities simply let it down, especially when compared to our experience at Woodlands last year.

Make sure you submit a review - that is where people looking to camp there in the future will look. This post will be long gone in a short while.

We were in the area to the right of reception as you drive in.  The toilet block is brand new and vey spacious.

Be aware that there is a difference in Licencing Law between 'Gambling' machines and 'Skill' machines.  The ones at Monkley tree were skill machines and there is no legal age restriction for their use.
