Hi

Looking to go to Fisherground later this week. Has anyone just come back?

What are the site conditions like given all the rain we have had? Is the bottom field open as I know it can be prone to waterlogging in places?

Would appreciate any info anyone has.

Many thanks

Elaine

Why not give them a call and ask. I'm sure you'll get an honest reply.

Hi

I have rung a few times but just get the answerphone which gives out a certain amount of information but no current site conditions. As you can't book pitches the need to answer all calls is not as important as on other sites. Hoping someone on this site has been recently and can give some infornation.

Thanks again

Elaine

HI, we came back on fri after a 5 night stay. Mick was not allowing cars on the bottom field and a few areas were roped off but in general things were holding up ok. It semed wetter on the field by the toilet block as the bottom field has drainage.

The bottom field got wetter towards the edge near the stream but the centre to towards the top road was fine.

Mick and Alison were managing the field well showing you to your pitch rather than the normal practice of choosing your own, which is understandable as they are protecting their site.

Things did start drying out when the sun was out but ,then came another downpour.

We had a great time, if you go take your wellies !

I guess the conditions could get worse this week if the heavy showers continue and footfall increases towards BH weekend. And I cant see there been as many pitches available as normal due to the wet areas and recovery of pitches already used.

Hi Laws69

Thanks for the information. Pretty much what we were expecting as we know Mick and Alison like to keep the site in as good condition as possible.

We are now thinking of going after the Bank Holiday. Oh decisions decisions!

Thanks again

Elaine
