We were at Blackshawmoor CC site about 18 months ago when it snowed  but that's another story. It's a pleasant site with the typically good Caravan Club site facilities and it's in a very good location.

It is good walking country and nearby are the Roaches and Ramshaw Rocks. Also close by is Tittesworth Reservoir which is good for the twitchers.

The Three Horseshoes pub is a shirt walk from the site and does decent meals. A short drive away is The Rock pub near Ramshaw Rocks.

The site is convenient for the Manifold Valley, Beresford Dale and Wolfescote Dale and if you want some interesting cheeses visit the cheese shop in Hartington.

We live in Leek, so can vouch that the Three Horseshoes is a great place for carvery (every day) and nice beer!

We spent an enjoyable week there in June, walking the dog. I agree with blatchatters comments.
