Hi All,
Wonder if anyone from the North West can help me out. I'm back camping after years away and I want to try out our new tent for 2 nights somewhere fairly local (50 miles ish from Widnes). I've been looking at site reviews and to be honest I'm losing the will to live. I'll list what we need essentially and then see if you wonderful people (such a creep) can help me out
Pitch big enough for Monty 6, Clean toilets and thats about it. Some extra facilities might be nice but I've looked at the Plassey and it looks a bit OTT with its al la carte restaurant plus we didnt really want to be spending £20 a night (I'm not tight just want to sample the tent).
Any suggestions guys n gals?
Ta - Mike

Click on the 'campsite search' feature at the top of the page - you should be able to find lots of places near you on there, along with reviews too!

We did a couple of nights up at C&CC Clitheroe last week. Very clean facilites and well organised. Apparently Charity Farm at Wrightington near Wigan is also pretty good but haven't been.

Hi Mike, Have a look at these! Woodbine Cottage, Delamere Forest & Elm Cottage.
We use these sites on a regular basis and they're all within 25 mins of good old Widnes!
