have just got back from 2 weeks in bude, & everything was sooooooo wet underfoot

campsites down there are all phoning around to try & find who has the driest pitches; the site we were on & the one next door were turning peple away

our awning was full of mud & water for the whole time

it's really tested our resiliance this fortnight

Yes, although the floods last year were horrific, in many ways they were localised. Overall, I think this year has probably been worse as, with the possible exeption of the far south east of England and the far north of Scotland, the whole country is saturated to the point of not being able to handle any more water, so new rainfall is just lying on the surface and creating mud as it is walked on.

You did well to stick it out. For most of the last few years, I haven't even bothered setting off.

Sorry to hear you had such bad weather in Cornwall.

We came back from 2 weeks in Northe Devon and Somerset and it was pretty wet there also!

Its very patchy rain, inland and close to us the racetrack has good to firm ground, its taking any amount of rain thrown at it! Surely it has to pick up soon....at least this weekend looks a slight improvement.

Gone are the 'sleeping on the floor' times, I love my TT.
