Have you rung them ?

A friend of mine was booked for the week (11th August ) , they rang the site on the Sunday and were told they couldn't go as the tent field was/ had been flooded . The site didn't ring them to tell them that though .

If they hadn't rung to ask they would have had a wasted journey , they also couldn't book onto any other sites in the area as they were all full .

They were told the tent field was under a few inches of water , so maybe flippers are the best option

It's been drier though the last couple of weeks ; we were at Beadnell the same week they should have been there and had no rain as such after the Tuesday .

Hi, just returned from Dunstan Hill.  They rang on Thursday to tell us that it was muddy and bring suitable footwear too!

The pitches are drying out but it is still very muddy.  I only took some croc type shoes and the mud was squelching in through the holes. 

Anyway, have a nice time
