Hi, has anyone been in the last week or so,or are there now to let me know what kind of condition the pitches are in.We are going next sunday and I have been informed they are taking no new bookings at the present as the site is a bit wet.

A friend of mine was booked for the week (11th August ) , they rang the site on the Sunday and were told they couldn't go as the tent field was/ had been flooded . The site didn't ring them to tell them that though .
If they hadn't rung to ask they would have had a wasted journey , they also couldn't book onto any other sites in the area as they were all full .
Yes I rung them, they just said bring suitable footwear............Flippers? We are booked on a grass pitch with electric.Fingers crossed.I think exsisting bookings are fine, its just they are not taking any new bookings till beginning of september.

They were told the tent field was under a few inches of water , so maybe flippers are the best option
It's been drier though the last couple of weeks ; we were at Beadnell the same week they should have been there and had no rain as such after the Tuesday .
Good luck !!

I've just come back from a walk on the beach at Berwick (slightly more North) and it is beautiful day here - hopefully it'll dry the pitches out a bit. There hasn't been any rain (so far........)
