Hi Roy

We stayed at the CC campsite in southport and very pleased with it very clean and the wardens where very helpfull and always working to keep the place clean.

The Caravan Club site, is strictly caravans, and I think members only.    
WillowBank is now caravans only.

From what I can gather Leisure Lakes has put its act together and has pulled its socks up.   Another member is staying there, and will report on the Leisure Lakes thread when they get back.

I don't know how Riverside is doing these days - but a couple of years ago, they were treating tenters like second class citizens.   The site also isn't the quietest, as it has an open to the public club on site.   

Now if you are definately going to the Air Show - Book early, (like now) and go to Abbey Farm in Ormskirk.    It's not that far out, and is a lovely clean site.

 we were supposed to be going to Leisure lakes Nr Southport earlier this week, but after a phone call on the morning due to go off my brother about a work collegue who had been overbank holiday, we decided against going!! he said it is camping in woods for family tents, and that the place was very run down and scruffy.

we called to have a look ourselves and it was as he said, so we went elsewhere!!

there was litter everywhere, and general untidyness.

thanks everyone for suggestions,  but i forgot to mention that it was for 3 guys well into our 40`s, but no-one will accept all male or all female parties,  they must think we`ll act like rampaging yobs or something we`ll just have to go for the day instead.
