Planning a 10 day trip to Lincolnshire next week.  Usually very organised and do a lot of research beforehand but have left it rather late.  Did a thorough search last night and narrowed our choices to sites around Lincoln and Skegness so that we can tour round the major places.  Has anyone been to Grange Farm, N. Hykeham (just outside Lincoln).  Seems quite close to the city but cannot find any reviews on it.

Any suggestions of other sites in the area would be welcome.  Thanks.

Hi Carol, we have stayed at Grange Farm.  Chosen for location, short walk to bus stop to Lincoln city centre, and walking distance to a nature park though we had to walk passed a construction site to get there (new housing estate being built).  The site was quiet, the owner was not even home, lol.  I had to phone him on his mobile to ask how much I owed, and posted the money through his letterbox before we left.

I used to work at Grange farm a few years ago, the site is in an orchard next to what is now a livery and there used to be a lot of apples lying around so expect a lot of wasps, there was only one toilet and no shower when I was there.

There is a site at hatsholme park and I think the bus srops out side. Why don't you go for a site in Woodhall spa then you will be central to Lincoln or Skegness. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4933 This is a nice site or here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1795 or this one if you like a nice quiet C.L   http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=5977

They have a shower now at Grange Farm.  Didn't know about the wasps as we went in winter.

The site at Hartsholme Park is nice and can't be expensive or we wouldn't have stayed there, but that was a few years ago now.

i live right next to hartsholme and yes the bus stop is outside the park and very regular the campsite is nice with a good cafe next to it we sometimes go for our dinner. only down side i would say is it is very dark at night and the toilets are in avery dark area of the campsite just over a dirt track. there is another good site at norton disney but you would need to drive into lincoln.
