Hi this is probably an odd question but can anyone recommend a small site suitable for a solo camper? We stayed at Well Park in Tenby a couple of weeks ago and I loved it but hubby and kids not keen on tenting and prefer to stay in our static! I fancy being brave and trying a weekend on my own with a good book and a glass or two of wine but don't want to travel too far!

Thanks for advice, only camped twice in past 6 years so don't really know any sites other than the reviews I've read on UKCampsite (which I did look at before asking the question). More bothered about security than facilities as bit scary going on my own, I'm sure I'll find somewhere, thanks Maria.

Hi again. In that case if I were you I'd probably aim for a C&CC site , or maybe a small-medium sized privately-owned and managed site with glowing reviews on here. I would definitely avoid anywhere with any sort of clubhouse or bar, and probably anywhere with a swimming pool too. As a rule of thumb, the bigger the site the more impersonal it will be and the more facilities/more people the more likely it is for noise to be an issue. MT

Thanks Merry, I'm going to look through the reviews again and bearing your advice in mind I'm sure there's a site out there that'll fit the bill - wish me luck! Maria
I would second swanseajack's recommendation .. not sure how far that would be for you though? I have gone here on my own with the kids and always felt safe. When they have been off with their friends I have felt quite happy reading or just sitting with a glass (or three!) of wine .. when we were there in July there was a lady on her own next to us.
I would be quite happy going here on my own.. in fact I couldn't think of a nicer place to relax and chill out! Sarah x
