Does anyone know of any camp sites that are either near activity/adventure centres or have one on site?

We have 2 teenagers who now need more out of their holidays than just beaches and walks in the hills (dammit)!

We're looking for activities such as climbing, canoeing, archery etc etc & aren't really bothered where in Britain we end up.  An indoor water park nearby would also be good but that may be asking too much.

Hi,

I have been looking at Llangorse in the Brecon Beacons, they have a list of multi-activities, indoor and outdoor, riding, climbing, challenge courses etc.

The website is activityuk.com, there's quite a few campsites nearby. Pencelli castle campsite looks really nice.

How about the c&cc site at Delamere as this is right next to Go Ape which I am sure your kids would love.

My two teenagers think Skern Lodge near Bideford North Devon is great for all outdoor activities including High ropes, assault course, kayaking, zip wire etc. They have adventure days during the school holidays. Plenty of camp sites in the area our favourite Steart Farm.

Aviemore in the Cairngorms - they can choose from climbing (on walls or mountains), abseiling, canoeing, windsurfing, kayaking, dry slope skiing, summer sledging, mountain biking, hill walking,beech swimming, orienteering - and that is just within walking distance of glenmore forest site. Good swimming pool complex in Aviemore.

Try Thetford CC&C ner a zoo, not too far from the coast. Alsonear Go Ape! Check it out the teenagers would love it!
