Off to Bashley Park on Sunday for 6 nights with the missus, and 2 daughters aged 4 months and 3 years. Really cant wait to be honest and it will be the first time i've been in over 20 years and its somewhere i have very fond memories of during holidays as a child with my parents. Just wondering a couple of things though. The indoor swimming pool, is there some sort of spectator area? Also, does anyone know what the site is like with regard to entertainment etc now its out of season? We went Greenacres Haven this time last year and there was plenty of kiddies entertainment on etc and kind of hoping its the same at Bashley.

Anymore useful info really appreciated. Cheers

P.S. Only 3 more days to go! Im getting excited can you tell?!? Im 33 yet feel like a kid waiting for Santa!

do you mean hoburne bashley at new milton.

We went there about 7 years ago.  We liked it but would not go in  high season.  The food was nice in the restuarant.  They did bingo most nights,  Not sure about the pool aspect as we did not use the indoor one, but the outdoor one was great. If in doubt go on the campsite search and put in hoburne bashley and there are quite a number of up to date reviews of the site.  When you go down the drive to the caravan site there used to be speed bumps and they would always catch our tow hitch.  Hope this is of some help.

Bashley is fab!! We go regularly for weekends and are going 12th-14th sept.

Yes the indoor pool has a spectator area with tables and chairs and you can grab a cuppa from the vending machine outside the pool door, wear a t-shirt in there though as it gets pretty hot in there.

Entertainment - We don't usually bother with this but Bashley normally run a reasonable programme, shows, bingo and kids stuff etc.

Nice play park for your kids. A good shop on site, not too expensive and nice fresh bread/cakes daily.

We always find the showers/loos clean and they are very spacious. You will have a super time! What pitch number are you on? We always stay in C field, which is nearest to the shop etc.

Got back from Bashley yesterday tea time. What a place!!! My 1st time back there in over 20 years and the 1st time my missus and daughters have been. Fantastic site and area. It was great to revisit places like Mudeford, Highcliffe, Brockenhurst and Bournemouth. My missus was truly amazed at how the ponies and horses roam wild in the New Forest.

Gutted to be back home and reality, but we'll be back there for sure next year. Hopefully it'll be for 2 weeks.

Really glad you enjoyed it! We got there late on Friday evening - shame, would have been nice to say hi!

As usual we had a lovely relaxing weekend - swim, sauna etc. And eating lots of food in the caravan...and vino...what a life!!!

Hi Gaynor. We were on Beech field right next to the shower block. Me and the missus noticed how busy it became on Friday. Everything about Bashley is superb. Just wished we lived closer so we could visit more regulary. We'll be back though next year for defo, and the year after, and the year after, and the......

We go to Bashley a lot, we are lucky, it is only a 45 minute drive.

I really like Bashley and if you can get booked into the bonfire and fairy lights weekend it s wonderful, I just wish I had kids to take to that.
