darren, we went over to mendip in newport to buy a set of spot lights to replace to "old fashioned" ones in our van. total sum £36. one bridge toll and two hours later we left a little further out of pocket. lol. got us our new (to us) van.

i dont think you have seen the new one yet. we gone back to a 2 berth lay out. its a coachman pastiche. its lovley.

you never know we might, just might pop down and bug ya over the weekend....

well we are back, weather was brill, hot and sunny, and for the first time ever, NO WIND, not even enough to fly a kite LOL
Had a great weekend, other than the Haven site, that could have been a lovely site, but was looking very shabby (overgrown hedges/grass etc) maintenance poor, lots of lights around the site not working.
Worse was the complete lack of security on the whole site, no one managing the main entrance gate, meaning that anyone could just walk or drive in unchallenged, also the entrance that is on the promenade is locked at 9, these gates looked very big and impressive, but you (and anyone else) could just walk around them an onto the site.
People had awnings broken into, we were lucky only having 2 large cakes pinched LOL (wife was not happy) but others had lots of expensive fishing gear taken.
Such a shame as this could be a very nice site, but the whole site needs fencing off, (its just got hedges around the perimeter), and security needs drastic action as we never saw a security patrol.

we went to Brean on Saturday, parked at the rear of the big pub (seagull Inn ????) then sunday we parked on Berrow beach, then to the fair in the afternoon, poor grandma dragged on the ghost train, even more poor grandad who, in his 70s was taken on the water coaster LOL, it was well worth the £4 for the photo of him on the ride. LOL

The market is on every Saturday and there is a car boot on Sundays - i guess that once the season closes the markets won't be there either but don't know for sure
