There's also the Trotting Mare which is somewhere near Wrexham but that's a fair distance from Chester (but within your hour specification), you'll know that anyway coming from Stoke I guess.  There's another site whose name escapes me somewhere near Carden Park opposite a pub (virtually), near Tarporley.  The one at the southerly bypass though is the one to go for as it's the other side of the park and ride which is really cheap to get you into Chester, so you wouldn't be wasting time travelling 'cos if you think about it it wouldn't take you long to get from Stoke to Chester anyway for a day so is it worth being an hour away??

Really sorry, see you aren't from Stoke (that was someone else on this thread) - whoops, but if you are from Cheshire aren't you only an hour from Chester anyway or 75 mins at most??

We have stayed at the Plassey with Our Montana 6 and front extension which isn't a problem because like brookie said it's the width where there is a limit not the length so you would ususally be fine with all tunnel type tents
