Are you thinking of escaping the rat race and setting up your own campsite? We are currently developing a documentary series about people who are fulfilling their dreams in this way. I'd love to speak to you about your plans whether you'd like to be part of our project or not, so please give me a call back on 02076440066 or email me at catherine.fischl at eyeworks.tv and I'll call you at a time convenient for you.
i look forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Catherine
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I have no immediate plans to do this but I would love to have the opportunity, both myself and my wife have a good jobs with good incomes but would be prepared to drop it immediately and run our own caravanning/camping site, it would be so rewarding I'm sure of it. I know it would be a lot of hard work but, to see everyone on your site relaxing and having a great time would be fantastic.
Good luck, I'm sure there must be loads of people out there who would love to do it, given the chance.

Jamie - why don't you just go for it. We gave up very good careers on an impulse to run our own business several hundred miles from where we were living. Our income dropped drastically for some time BUT we did it and it has worked out fine. Don't have regrets in a few years time - life is full of "if onlys" - why not just go for it.

The other side of things is that it isn't always a bed of roses. Liz regularly posts on here and runs a campsite in West Wales. I'm amazed at the bad behaviour of a very small minority of their visitors and of course, there's the British weather to contend with ...

If the company making the documentary wish to pay me £450,000.00 they can watch me move into the proterty I have my eye on and follow the progress as I turn the 3/4 acre of land into a cs site which would welcome 5 vans and approximatly 3 tents at any one time.
Thanks for your encouraging comments, believe me we would dearly love to have our own site and of course you always imagine it to be the site that everyone would visit and come back because they enjoyed it the first time round and every visit after that and brought some friends with them. I know it is not always a bed of roses and that there is a lot of hard work involved in the running etc. but, for me I think it would be so rewarding just seeing people relaxing and enjoying themselves and knowing that in some small way you have made it possible for them.
I'll keep dreaming and who knows, someday maybe (not too long though I hope).
I've been dreaming of this for ages. Missed out on a property that had some kennels and 2 acres of land. My dream nearly came true. I will keep looking. I know it will be hard work but in a totally different sort of way from an office. No dead lines, no PRP Etc. What you put in YOU get out not a big company.
