Its a haven site! so it depends what your looking for - have been twice with kids they loved it. entertainment onsite was great as we could all go and we could have a drink while kids enjoyed show and disco. Access to blackpool / fleetwood by tram or by bus which stops outside site isn't that much hassle really. If your looking for four star luxury don't bother but we would go again if there weren't so many other places to explore instead.

Hi, Its Busy, cramped, expensive, quite a way out of Blackpool and is overlooked by the chemical factory, other than that its OK.
You forgot that it quite often smells of fish. It is now the only place on the Fylde with 10 pin bowling, too!
Went there a few years ago as it was cheaper than staying in a camp nearer to Blackpool. Not much round there, the tram runs from Fleetwood to Blackpool and is a bit of a bone shaker.
We didn't spend much time in the camp, travelled out and about everyday. The static was good though.
It's about 4 years since we stayed there. The van itself was fairly new, and spotless. The kids loved the entertainment - and went to the show everynight. We took the bus/tram into Blackpool a couple of times and drove down to Cleveleys once. The bus stops outside the site (or did then) and the tram is a short walk away.
Sounds like a typical Haven site Mrs Skippy. I can remember years ago when the council tip was one where all the rubbish was just thrown in piles it used to stink rotten around there and in the summer the flies where awful...... not in a very nice spot.... although Fleetwood Prom is very nice and you have Freeport too..... a better site would be Kneps Farm at Thornton in a much nicer place.

Went about 4 years ago. Took anything of value out with us during the day - felt it was safer in the car. Didn't have any problems on site but didn't like the feel of it.
Now i am normally very up for Haven sites as we have 2 children and basically they really enjoy themselves, but i wouldnt go to Cala Gran.
The reasons are that the sewage farm is just a stones throw away and it really does smell.
There is a massive fishy smell around the area and im not sure but i think there is a landfill site nearby .This alltogether makes for a right bad smell especially in summer.
Go and book somewhere else!! Marton Mere isnt that far away.
