Really sorry if you've read this post already but we're desperate for some romantic knowledge.I absolutely love camping in all weathers and love to hear that there's other mad people out there who camp in tents in the winter months too. We've been for the last 2 years for bonfire weekend (in our cosy coleman trispace !!) to a site in Yorkshire and loved every minute, a bit embarrassed as we were the only tent on the site but who gives a !!!! We love it BUT unfortunately this year I have been unable to get this weekend off so instead I'm taking next week off. Me and hubby need some quality time so has anyone any suggestions on a really nice romantic site(lakes, rivers, ducks, swans, moonlight and romance) and i am being serious. We do need some quality time and don't hit me with a weekend in Paris. Can't afford it! Any sites that anyone knows of that are nice that are not too far away from Sheffield, please let me know. By the way we are in our 40,s so nowhere where we feel committed to join in any activities that are strenuous and take time away from romance. Thank You

Hi Pong,

Have you tried Hooks House Farm at Robin Hoods Bay,North Yorkshire?

(sorry I cannot do the link!)

If you look them up on the campsite search all their details are there.

If you pitch your tent at the bottom of the camping field you get the most stunning view of Robin Hoods Bay,it is hard to beat!

Then you can walk down to the village and sample the food and drink in the local pubs,it's all very cosy!

You can also enjoy a day out in Whitby which is a short drive/bus journey away.

Hope this fits the bill!

Val

Have to say sounds idylic

You could go on the steam train from whitby to Pickering stopping on the way, Very romantic if it still running this time of year.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Don't think we're going to make a camping trip as weathers putting us off. We must be getting old. Thanks again.
