Hi, have been through loads of reviews and what we are looking for is a dog friendly site within walking distance of a dog friendly beach and preferably a village for a bit of shopping and a drink. Not bothered about loads of facilities on site as long as the showers are clean. I know I am asking a lot but we are going for two weeks next June and don't want to have to keep going out in the car all the time.
Area preferred is North Devon perhaps around Ilfracombe Woolacombe way?
Any suggestions gladly received, thanks a lot

We stayed at Mill Park this year between Coombe Martin and Ilfracombe, really nice dog friendly site, very quiet and with its own dog run field that I was lucky enough to spot a red deer in one morning! we picked up a week in june special offer off ebay (through the site) for £50 inc ehu, that we didnt use as we dont have it.Its got loads of footpaths around the area and you can ,if fit ,walk down into one of the many secluded coves on the coastel path, hope this helps,
Also meant to say that there is a small village within walking distance with Pub which serves food and allows dogs, village shop, its Barrynarbor there is another pub on the main road but unfortunatly they dont allow dogs, there is a lovely new shower and toilet block and really nice large pitches and a stream and lake, the site has a shop and bar/restuarant but the latter is only open high season,we loved it and wouuld definatly go back,I think it was about £14 a night for 2 people a tent and a dog in June if not bought on an offer,

North Morte Farm. Superb views. 15 mins walk to Rockham Bay - dogs allowed. 10 mins to village with 3 pubs, tea room, restaurant, post office and a shop. Not much on site except good loos and a small camp shop. You can't book for tents, but should be no probs in June.
Hi.We stopped at Damage Barton campsite (cc & c&cc) this year, near Illfracombe. Lovely site, can walk through site down to Bull Point then follow the coastline. They have an enclosed paddock, which we didn't notice until morning we were leaving. lol
Best dog friendly beach was Saunton, near Braunton. Golden sands for miles.
