Hi carpman
We are also going to Cornwall for the 1st time nexy year. After much research we are going to Wooda near Bude it has good reviews on here and looks lovely on the website.
We went to Wooda last year, the only thing bad was the rain.
But they do pack tents in we did not have a lot of room, we booked early and picked our pitch.
No fire break was in force very large tents taking all there pitch so no gap...
------------- Does a full 140g bar of Dairy Milk count as part of my 5 a day??

Yes I agree Polmanter is a great site and we will be going there at least 3 times ourselves this year. However I'm not sure it is that good for kids compared to the bigger commercial sites like Trevornick, Pentewan etc.

Penny we have only ever been there in our Monty6, 2009 will be our first full year with our new Bordeaux. If you look at a plan view of the site I like any of the pitches in the lower right quarter of the main field. I think these are numbered in the 70's range. However I dont think there is a bad pitch on the site and we have been there at least twice for the past three years- very peaceful and MIck doesnt take any cr*p off anyone. Last year there was a camper with a radio listening to the Glastonbury broadcast. He was asked twice to turn it down and then the third time given his marching orders, at 11.15 and was off site at 11.50.
The pub is ok but we tend to use other establishments in Hayle. I assume you know that the dog walking regs have also been relaxed so even though there are restricted beaches, they are only restricted between the hours of 8.00am and 7.00pm now. Its worthwhile looking up the Penwith dog beach guide.
