1. you need a local pub
2. loo dump
3. fresh water
4. flat areas to pitch, some hard standing ones.
even without the local pub thats about all you need to start.
no kids allowed would be great as well as a ban on dogs.

Maybe instead of doing the petsitting yourselves at night there would be someone in the locality who could add the their existing business or start up their own.

Someone around where we live has started doing this - day dog sitting for locals andholiday makers who want to bring a dog but would like the odd free day to go to places where dogs aren't welcome.

Dalesbridge - the wedding idea sounds good too. i can see you structurs all decorated up for a wedding. When the weather gets better next year may take a ride out on the bikes and visit your site to have a nosey round if that's OK as it's not too far from us (Austwick area??)

You could just do the same as every other site - or go that little bit further and provide what some people want in modern camping sites, and leave the competition behind.

Free WiFi, Fishing, Good Satelite Hookup, Communal Barbeque/eating Games Areas, communal activity nights, Kids Club, Badger/Birdwatching etc..

I think many sites are stuck in the Dark Ages mentality, charging £10 a night for a parking space, grass cutting service & toilet

Keely,

It would be great to meet you if you can visit - let me know if you want to stay over and I will make sure the rate is kind ;)

We are right on the A65 across the road from Austwick Village - we often host bike rallys and frequently count bikers amongst our lovely guests.

The weddings are great - the 'humanist' lady who conducts them also hosts naming ceremonies in place of christenings and does a wonderful job. We also get booked a lot for family/friend reunions and birthdays... I think it helps that anyone can attend because they can camp if they are going cheap, bunkhouse it if they want a bit more comfort or even stay in the B&B/Self Catering House for a bit of en-suite, open fire luxury!!

There is so much more that we can do and I do hope I get round to it all - this is an amazing place.

kind regards,

Tina
