We are looking for a site to go to in the summer holidays (school holidays) we have 2 small children age 2 & 6 and are looking for somewhere near to a beach with  at least a play park etc on site.

We have been to scarborough 3 years running now and have come to the conclusion we have been round all attractions at least twice and are getting a bit bored now, so we have been looking at North Wales, Morecambe and Mablethorpe can anyone recommend which artea may be best for us wanting to keep busy with beach's, zoo's, farm's etc and obviuosly not toooooo long a journey cause my kids start "are we there yet?" almost 10 mins of being in the car!!!!

p.s looked at some of the haven sites but dont have very good reviews for tourers.

thanks in advance

Been to Plassy Park in Wrexham a good few times and always good. Has a small indoor pool and large play area for the kids, table tennis , golf, shops to browse, cafe, bar everything really but not commercialised.  Local for Chester Zoo, Liverpool, Rhyl suncentre (North Wales coast for the sea). Give them a try

The CC site at Chester is very nice..... near to Chester Zoo in easy reach of other good attractions.  I wouldn't bother going to Morecambe not a particulary nice place makes Blackpool look good.  There is Hawthorne Farm near Mablethorpe and plenty of site around Skegness that has loads for kids.
