Last year we purchased a trailer tent and are looking for ideas of where to take it to this year and wondered if the members on here had any recomendations. We need a site that is dog friendly and also welcoming to a 2 year old. Ideally we like to be near the sea, sea views and direct access to a beach are a plus for us.

It is important to us that the site has warm clean toilet facilaties and with having a little one family shower rooms are a plus. We like to BBQ so need a site that allows bbq's. We also like sites that have good drainage and don't turn into a quag mine with the typical English weather.

We aren't bothered where in the country we visit, although Cornwall is a place we do tend to return to time and time again. If the site has a swimming pool it is a bonus, although not essential. We are not bothered about a club on site as we don't tend to use them, although a take away is nice for chips to go with the bbq. We once visited a site with a lovely beer garden which was a very nice area to sit with the dogs.

Thank you very much for reading this post and we look forward to hearing about your recomendations and to maybe visiting some of them.

We like the look of Ross Park in Devon, we've never been before but it looks so dog friendly, only drawback is that its not that close to the sea.

My parents went to Magic Cove in Mawgan Porth last year and loved it, quite small, very friendly, immaculate, near the beach and the owners have recently had a baby so are child friendly!

Try the advanced site reviews. You can select many of your requirements in the search facility. Have a look at the reviews and then you can post some site specific requests once you have made a shortlist.

I would without doubt recommend Gwithiian as it fits the bill exceept for the takeaway and the pool. It is a 5 minute walk from a stunning 3 mile beach of golden sand.

I'd recommend Ross Park in Devon. It doesn't have a swimming pool but is a lovely site extremly dog friendly. Loads of dog walks even a dog shower. You can also take them in the conservatory off the restaurant to eat or have a drink.

The showers and toilets are emaculate. I'm definatly going to go back this year for sure. One of the best sites i've been on.

You could try New England Bay CC site just South of Stranraer no pool and fish and chips only twice a week but direct access to the beach, Yellowcraig CC site at North Berwick no pool no fish and chips but a lovely place and the enormous clean beach only a short walk, Godrevy Park CC site on Hayle Towans in Cornwall would be good.
