I am looking for a campsite around the Murrayfiled area for the May day bank holiday. friday 1st till Tuesday 5th

We are visiting for a Rugby League Match.

We have started looking at Haven at Seton Sands but does anyone know of any other sites that would be worth looking at? we will be taking the kids with us and several adults but as we are novices to camping as a family, we would need somewhere that kids are ocupied and there are things to do.

If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

one last thing, the site would have to accomodate a large tent (stupid me for buying a hartford xxl)

You could try http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2992 for Mortonhall site which is on the outskirts of the city or http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1631 which is about 15 mins drive from Murrayfield ,both excellent sites and your large tent should not be a problem.They both open in March but I would phone to check when in March...

Hi, you would find the campsite here, as you would with any site when looking for sites to visit, .

Then you need to highlight the URL address at the top of the page e.g. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1631 and click copy, and then paste the address into the post

I was just going to suggest Linwater, we go there regularly and you are guaranteed a warm welcome and exceptional facilities. Also it is very handy for Murrayfield, on the right side of Edinburgh. Phone to check availability Jean gets booked up very quickly with her regulars

I cancelled my Caravan Club pitch at the Edinburgh site (not enough Hols).

I decided it was too far for 2 days.

Much prefered Cardiff.

watch out Mum_of_4, we are booked in at Linwater for the weekend.

Gonna have to find somewhere around to watch the matches on the saturdasy (too tight to buy a weekend ticket) and we dont play till Sunday.

Pity they arn't all local derbys as that added to the exitement of it at Cadiff.

Lets hope we get some good weather to make it a good one
