Hmmm! I am  not happy about the full amount being paid months in advance.

I agree on paying a non returnable deposit but not the full amount.

I have just had to pay the full amount on a booking for several months down the line. I was not that happy about it but as it was only for a few nights an not triple fugures I let it go. But in this current climate I wont be doing it again especially on a full weeks holiday! I would rather book elsewhere or see what there is available last minute.

We often have to go last minute cos of OHs job. It can take a while hunting sites down etc but if we put the time and effort into our search we tend to find good sites.  Have found some lovely ones we would not have oriinally looked twice at. And yes I am on about July and August.

Because it is so unique - such a beautiful place to go - and there aren't enough campsite pitches for everyone who wants to go there, the sites can seemingly get away with charging twice the amount that sites of a similar standard in other parts of the UK do.
