Hi looking for a campsite for valentines weekend, We are in a campervan so a hardstanding and evu would be great. Also a pub nearby which allows dogs, Any Ideas? Maybe around the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales or Peak District would be very grateful. I'm not asking for much am I ? ;o)

If you want the Lakes, maybe Park Foot at Pooley Bridge.
Bit expensive but right beside Lake Ullswater, a good clubhouse, and a couple of nice pubs in the village.
Have a look at their reviews and website.

The Caravan club site in Blackshaw Moor is really nice, but quite steep access roads. Pitches are flat though. Have stoney base for awnings, which can be quite sharp. Why dosent site owners use more rounded stones for an awning base?
Stayed at Falbarrow Park in the Lake District in the past and the stoney base for awnings was made by using rounded pebbles, much easier on the foot and groundsheet.
