We are trying out the Chertsey caravan and camping club site for half term 15th feb-21st feb.Does anybody know if it is affected by road noise(very close to M3 on map).Also we have 10 year old and 8 year old,any tips for bad weather days!We are taking bikes for all,is it good for family cycling?All tips welcome!

yes road noise is a problem but so is the weir on the Thames next door,Bit early in the year but it is close to several theme parks,Winsor great park is near by .

Its a lovely campsite we too didnt notice the road noise, you may however notice the planes but all in all it was fine.

Just come back from there. Site was full, so book if you haven't already. Road noise was less than noise from the weir next to the site, but not intrusive. Occasional low plane was a pain if you are not used to them, but planes do not fly from Heathrow at night.

Good day out at Brooklands, the old banked motor racing circuit, now a museum with cars and aeroplanes. Only 20min away, and much undercover. Entry price was reasonable too, and staff were really helpful and knew their stuff. There is also Mercedes Benz World though probably not for the kids, part is free, though some things need a very deep pocket.

Not far from Thorpe Park, Legoland and Chessington World of Adventure.

Watch out for the flock of green parakeets!
