I have just been told that the site I inquired about do not take my breed of dog. I am really fine with this as before I got my two I did not like staffs either. Will I get turned down by lots of places do you think.

Does anyone else own a staff and have problems ????

My dogs are very well behaved both been to classes and I am very much a dog lover. Saying that I would never trust any dog 100% as they can not voice their opinions and tell you to push off when you annoy them and they don't have hands to push you away. I feel its a owner job not to let their dog get into situations like this and that goes for any breeds.

Saying that my male has wind problems so it could be a pollution problem that they are concerned about lol

There are a number of sites that restrict certain breeds of dogs, but there are plenty that will accept them too.  It's just a case of looking about, I'm afraid.

Good luck finding some suitable sites and if you give us an idea of what you want from a site and which location, we may be able to come up with some suggestions

We are looking at sites in Yorkshire and have two children and my dad who is not so good on his legs. Not sure yet what everyone likes as its all still new and our first tour is this month. I truly understand about restrictions and respect their wishes. I just hope it not going to be the same for most sites. I have always told sites when asking about them that they are staffs as i think it is only fair. I call them my marmite dogs you love them or you hate them lol. The site we are going to love them but we are not taking them this time. With it been our first time we have so much to think about and it would not be fair on the dogs if we got stressed out.

I have to laugh because the dog before these was my Yorkshire terrorist and he was small and deadly and no way would I have taken him to a camp lol He was my baby though and even though he came before the kids he never bit them once, just everyone else.

I have a Rottweiler and many sites don't allow them. Makes me mad as it's the press and irresponible owner who make people so naive about the breeds. CC allow any breed.

I have a dog myself ( a Shih Tzu )  I don't mind any breed of dog on sites as long as they are on a lead as i don't trust any dog!

It is such a shame that sites seem to want to ban certain dogs as the breeds mentioned above can be lovely when brought up by caring owners..... a yorkie or to be honest any dog can be aggressive if treated badly.

We always choose the CC as they always welcome our dogs a Lab and a Yorkie.

If you are looking for a good site in Yorkshire the CC site at West Ayton near Scarborough is lovely brill for dogs....great dog walk and brill also for kids.

My thoughts exactly. We have a shih tzu who is over friendly and really irritating LOL
All dogs should be kept on leads I think regardless of what breed they are.

I hope you find somewhere to go with your staffs. I love them and think they are great family dogs :)

i know many sites dont take certain breeds but i never knew a staffy was one of these breeds. quite shocked, all dogs should always be on leads no matter what breed they are , i have a labrador and she is always tethered onthe pitch etc, last year she got attacked by 2 very hairy jack russels while she was on our pitch tethered was scarey so really any dog can be aproblem its really how they are controlled and handled by their owners

It looks like there is not so many sites that dont take staffs then as some folk seemed shocked at this. The site has great reviews and we may still go with out our dogs one day.

I have two staffs sapphire and Marbles

Thanks for your replies, I nearly sold them... lol only joking
