If you don't have kids then try Wyton Lakes adults only site just outside Huntingdon. Four fishing lakes on site and river frontage at the end of the site. It's one of our favourite sites, we're already booked in for two bank holidays this year and may have another weekend or two some other time.

Just head east toward Mablethorpe, fishing lake on site and only a 2 minute drive to excellent beachcasting. Adult only site so if you have kids leave em at home.
I camped at fletchers farm at Crockey Hill (Pool bridge farm) just outside of York last year, its lovely and peaceful, the toilet and showers are basic but clean, it is fishing ponds although you are not camped right next to the ponds, you walk to the loo and they are round the corner. They have a nice little cafe as well that you can pick up youre bacon sandwiches from, . But we enjoyed it although it rained and rained and rained. ( but we didn't go for the fishing and you're only 10 mins in car from a tescos and the park and ride into York)
