Hiya, We have just booked Rosemarkie for August for 12 nights - we went last year for 5 nights and it really was hard to leave, the site is quiet, but clean and its right on the beach side, just the small single track road between your pitcth and the sea. It is between Rosemarkie 1/4 mile strole and Fortrose 1 mile walk. Chanary Point is a 1 mile walk to a lighthouse, the dolphins can be seen here, it is out of this world.
Rosemarkie has a pub, a restaurant, small shop, museum, beach side cafe (summer only), Fairy glen walk.
Fortrose has a couple of pubs, butchers co op, a lovely small bistro called Edith Dubh, which does a early bird 2 courses for £10, it was outstanding quality, and Penelope Keith lives locals she came in for a meal whilst we where there.
If I was looking for a life change I would move to Rosemarkie, its got my vote.
Cheers Shirley
------------- Go on, be a happy camper!!!XX
