Hi there, I just wondered if anyone knew of any campsites close to the Sherwoods Pine Go Ape Centre in Nottingham? My partner and I are looking to combine a weekend of camping with a day out at the Go Ape Centre!

That's the place I'd chosen - it's so convenient. There is one a little further away called New Hall Farm which looks promising too - thank you both very much for your help!

Sherwood Forest Caravan Park is great all round value.  Toilets always clean and the staff cannot do enough to help you. 

 My friend had run out of sugar and went up the shop and they had sold out, so the owner when over to his house and gave her a cup full!

As no one was coming onto our pitches they let us stay until 2pm, why cannot everyone be like this?

That's excellent, great to hear some good feedback on Go Ape too. I think we will take our own bikes as I have heard bike hire can be expensive. Think we may be too tired after the Go Ape experience though - I'm quite scared of heights but it does say on the website that you can overcome some fears by doing it and as I know my partner will love it I'm sure he'll hold my hand along the way!! I'm really looking forward to a long weekend outdoors!

If you are interested there is a Go Ape at cannock chase but a bit expensive though £20 - £25 per person same price for kids

My mates went to Go Ape at Sherwood last year , they loved it ; tiring ! and one of em even overcame his fear of heights !
