Hi. We're thinking of holidaying in Tenby this July and ideally would like a campsite within walking distance back from the town. By reading the listing the most obvious choice seems Kiln Park (in fact I stayed there back in 1974) but many of the reviews are negative. Does anyone more familiar with the area have any advice? We have a large tent, a teenager and would like electric hook-up.
An alternative would be a different town in the area but we really want a couple of pubs and shops within walking distance as we don't want to have to rely on site clubs and I cannot remember much about the surrounding area. Any advice would be greatfully received :-)

we are staying at whitewell holiday park in july, just a few mins drive from tenby, has its own bar, but not far from the small village of lydstep, the reviews look good too. We stayed at mill house between tenby and saundersfoot 2 years ago, lovely walk to beach and pub, and pretty area aswell, but it gets booked up very quickly. ps whitewell is only 5 mins walk from the beach. Penny
I can thoroughly recommend meadow farm. Not sure if they have ehu, you will have to check. It's a basic site, but easy walk to the town, and the views are absolutely amazing. We spent a few nights just watching the moon over the sea and caldey island. Owner (forget his name) is really friendly. Would def go again.
Hi, we have stayed at kiln park a few times now, and we love it .We have stayed on a few haven sites ,and kiln park is one of the best ones, its in a great location for tenby town,we will be going back again this year.
------------- There is no such thing as bad weather. Only the wrong tent.

We have done tenby the last 2 years. 1st year we stayed at Well park on the outskirts of tenby, 5 min drive or a 15 to 25min walk depending on having kids in tow. Park was a really nice camp site but as we have a youngster with us the walk to tenby town was a bit much.
last year we stayed at kiln park and apart from the camoing fields being very busy, we didn't have a problem at all with the site itself.
We would go back to both places as both holidays were extremely enjoyed.
hi we go kiln park every year dnt get caught up with the anti haven campaign its a lovely site large pitches im down there monday for a week my tent is 28 foot long and no problems booking good entertainment and really nice and quiet on the touring fields with plenty to watch with everyone in the mornings running around cooking breakfast and cleaning pots and pans lovely site u got to go and see

Thanks everybody. We have decided on Kiln Park and have booked for the third week in July. They were very helpful on booking so I hope this is representative of the staff in general.
