Hi

We are a group of 8 adults and 6 children, all tents, looking to travel to Dorset in late May ... we are looking for recommendations for a site that is happy with groups ... that is not lights out at 10:30 but yet not rowdy ... we just enjoy sitting up having a chat until about midnight.  Preferably with an area for kids to be able to play football and cricket ... any suggestions would be welcome.  Thanks for reading.

In my experience most sites that have evening entertainment or a bar don't mind you having a reasonable gathering until midnight. We have used Freshwater Beach at Burton Bradstock several times. It's on the beach, has an outdoor pool and plenty for the kids to do plus it has the entertainment. Look on the site search for details.

You could try West Fleet Farm.  It's near the beach has large camping fields with plenty of space for games in the middle and an outside pool and small bar/restaurant type barn as well as a well stocked shop. 

We stayed there (even though we only live up the road) early last year and the kids loved it.

Try Seadown at Charmouth. They do mainly touring units but when we went they had many a tent in a separate field. The beach is also 5 mins stroll.

we have just booked at sandford holiday park at poole never been before but they can fit my vango diablo 900 ,and they where really helpful and loads to do on site for kids and adults

west fleet  is fantastic , went for 2 weeks last year and enjoyed every minute of it , already booked for this year , i cant wait , a nice safe camp for familys , good pool , nice bar , good site all round .

Sea Barn Chickerell Weymouth Dorset  it Linked with West Fleet it has a small park but pub is on the other site  that you can use

you can sit up till what time you like and it cheaper than the other sites
