Any suggestions for me? So, dog allowed, better quality shower block, tent, no need for ehu. Lovely views! Small/medium sized well run site. No club. As it will probably be for a weekend the first time at least then the easier it is to get to from the south west would help.
I have clicked about on the site finder here, and Foxholes/Middle Woodbatch and Marton (!) have been mentioned to me before but would really appreciate your expert insight

Oh, you must try Shropshire, Merry, surprised you haven't been before.
Don't know the others you mention, but if by Marton you mean Rhyd y Groes at Marton (in Powys 
but very close to the border) then I can thoroughly recommend it. Heated floor in the shower, campers kitchen with fridge and kettle, stunning views, dogs welcome, good walking country - but they have gone adult only now so don't know when I'll go back. It is a bit pricey though.
The Sytche at Much Wenlock - again beautiful views and good walking country, the facilities have been upgraded and the wardens changed since I was there last and I have had good reports.
For scenery, keep to the west and the south Shropshire hills.
