We usually stay at Sandy Balls nr Fordingbridge which is on the edge of the New Forest. There are 2 fields that allow dogs and there is a dog exercise field and acres of woodland direct from the site/part of the site to explore leading down to the river.
You don't say what time of year you're looking at going? Their rates do go up for peak periods and weekends but not sure how they compare to other sites for peak times.
Good luck choosing a site

The Forest sites are nice but not cheap. I would have a look at the search on here for a CS or CL. The New Forest is a great place to visit, I have been at least once a year for the last 15 years, so love the place. We tend to use Lytton Lawn and Bashley, but hope to try one of the small forest sites this year.
We visited the New Forest for the first time last year. We went in September.
We stayed at Sandy Balls it was fantastic. There is so much to do here. The scenary is gorgeous as are all the animals that roam around the New Forest.
Hope you enjoy your stay.
