Have you tried looking on the Camp Site Search? I find the reviews give most rubbish sites away and you can rely on the members not to hold back on the truth!!
I have booked our last three years main holidays just on members reviews on a site rather than the glossy websites they all seem to have now-a-days.
Good Luck

------------- I have NEVER been lost, though I do admit to spending several hours locationally challenged
More tentage = Campus Sherpa 4 - reproofed and still going strong
In Memorandum = Vango Quest, Khyam Chatsworth, and a frame tent OH wouldn'try!!!!
I have had a good luck but still waiting for one to really catch my eye. I might be being a bit fussy at this is a new thing for us and we don't want to be disapointed. I'm fron birmingham. are there any you reccomend. Dont really want to travel for more then 2 hours on our 1st trip?

Hi Brian,
We're going to Fforest Fields, Powys, Wales this end of May bank hol for a week starting on the Sat, we are 2 adults and 2 children (boy 13 yrs and girl 10 yrs).
Apart from an actual shop which it doesn't have (it does have some basics for sale though and Builth Wells is only 4 miles away), it has a pub nearby - 1 mile - and clean showers according to the reviews!
We've not been here before but it has excellent reviews on here so that swung it.
We like reasonably quiet sites with lot's of nature.
Not sure what sort of site you are looking for though?
Good luck in your search!

have you tried ross park in devon, it has a shop pub on site that does meals, and a huge dog meadow to let your dog have a good run. The showers are spotless, and heated, also they have family bathrooms. Well recommend it. Penny
