We were considering Rivendale but he prices were a little on the high side for us personally - but waiting for another member to go and leave a site review.

Been to Mandale, very basic!
Also been to Rivendale, was vry peaceful but with alot more facilities.
That's a wonderfully enigmatic description. What do you mean by "very basic"? Simple but good quality? Simple and poor quality? Inadequate? Spoilt the whole stay?
eric byrne's campsite next to the robin hood pub in Baslow - v basic it is. last time was last Aug. we paid about £2.75 i think but you only get a toilet block and a kitchen sink and that's it! you'd have to carry all your gear from the main road/pub car park and walk up a mile up the track and across 2 fields. it's v quiet at this time of yr tho', and in summer you'd probably get about 10 or so in high season during the w/ends. it's popular for climbers as there's birchwell edge across from it. great for walks to curbar and frogatt edge too.
edale national park campsite, will be quiet too. can get busy tho' during hols so best go in the week if you can.
coopers campsite, edale.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I would super-recommend Upper Booth if you're looking for peace and quiet. Tents only, amazing setting. Also Longnor Wood or North Lees are definitely worth checking out.
