We are looking for a campsite about an hour away from Harrogate where you can go on some lovely walks without having to get in your car at all. We would also require an electric hook up for our tent. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

We have lots of nice country lanes around our park that is lovely for walking, plus its only a short drive from Dalby Forest and the Cleveland Way on the coast.
Hi how about Hutton-Le -Hole there is a carvan/camping site behind the pub i think its The Crown its a basic site with electric no showers, toilets etc there are loads of walks straight from the village theres Rosedale loads of moors etc i think if you look there is a phone number on this site hope you enjoy yourself wherever you go
We like Serenity, Hinderwell, near Whitby- it takes 90 mins from Harrogate (A19, A172 etc). It's a great site and it's on the Cleveland Way (follows the old railway line if you go towards Whitby) with a pretty good local bus service, so if you don't want to plan a circular walk or do an out-and-back, you can just get a bus back to the village. The owners can recommend a few local circular walks too, but these aren't particularly long.

Hi, can I just ask, on your website there is a picture of a river walk, is that near to your site. I ask because we are looking for somewhere close to a river where our dog would be able to have a 'paddle'. We already had Jasmine Park on our short list and done a booking enquiry.
Thanks

Aug/Sept - Leekworth
The river is in the next village called Brompton, its probably just under a mile from the park along a country lane. It is a favourite for dog walkers!!

I'm not sure on the electric situation as I haven't used the site myself but I was at Horton-in-Ribblesdale on Saturday. The campsite is at the start of Pen-y-ghent walk and the Yorkshire 3 peaks.
I went from Adel (but work in Harrogate) in just over 1 hour in my 50mph adventure wagon.
Marfitt Head farm, just north of pickering.Situated between the 'Hole of Horcum and the Bridestones.excellent walking from site.spotless toilet/shower facilities, large pitches, friendly owner, working dairy farm, dogs and kids allowed, what more do you need.
I don't know if this would be too close to Harrogate but we had a super weekend on this site last August Bank holiday - Yorkshire Hussar Inn Holiday Caravan Park, Markington, Harrogate, HG3 3NR ( you can find it on this site). Lovely people and a great site in the middle of the village behind a pub so really convenient.
