Hi All!

Im needing advice on some Campsites,ideally midlands area,leicestershire,derbyshire,northamptonshire etc.

We are totally new to this,we are 2 families staying in the same tent and have 3 young children all under the age of 10,so we need a site with some kind of entertainment,playgrounds etc,if anyone can give me some ideas iwould be very grateful!!

Also someone has mentioned the size of our tent,its a 12 man,iis this going to be a problem or will all sites accomodate the larger sizes!!

There are several sites we use in and around derbyshire, all are child friendly and have plenty to keep the kids AND adults occupied,

Beehive farm

Conkers

Callow top 

Newhaven

Glencote Touring Park in Leek

Quarry Walk in Cheadle (Stoke on Trent)

Cannock Chace in Rugeley

The Star camping and caravan park nr. Alton Towers

We stayed on this site 3 weeks ago, and we couldnt find a single fault with any ov it.

The owner does everything that he canpossilbly to to ensure the kids have a great time while the adults relax,.

Another great site we stayed at (this weekend) is Manorwood.

Golden Valley is OK, but not brilliant IMO.

We found a gem of a site this weekend.  Rutland Caravan and Camping Site.  Recently affiliated to the CC.  Fabulous kids play area.  Good pubs within walking distance that also do food.  Fish and Chip van calls on a Saturday evening.  Regular visits by an ice cream van.  Lovely new shiny toilet block.  Two tent fields.

I'm just about to do a review on it.

I can also recommend Rutland caravan site, we used it twice last year, and will be having a couple of weekends there this year too, as its only up the road from us
