but even after looking at their website there appears to be a lack of pictures showing the tent pitching areas (bar one). and i like to get a good look at a place before i decide to book.
just wondering if anyone that's been there has got any pictures they wouldn't mind posting or linking to?
thanks & Happy camping! Lou

Sorry no pictures, but this is a lovely site, the tent areas are very nice. Lots ot wildlife. Very quiet due to the lack of any little angels running riot! Approach road was a bit rough, but not really a problem, unless you have a Tin Tent.
We have stayed here a few times and do have pictures but I'm too thick to know how to put them on here. What I can say is I really like this campsite. Emmas field is very nice but no ehu. Toilets and showers clean and it's a fairly quiete site and tent pitches very spacious, although if you are down the bottom in the tent part or Emmas field you can sometimes hear the traffic but not enough to really disturb the peace of what is one of our favourite places.

We've no pictures either but have camped here loads of times cos it's local to us and ideal for a weekend.
The faciliteis are spotless. Big pitches and total peace and quiet. I've never even noticed any traffic noise and i think we've camped in just about every area on the site.
There's a big area near the reception which is mainly used by caravans.
A smaller area behind that ( the warren i think ) which tends to be where most of the EHU tents seem to prefer and another area mainly used by tents without EHU but to honest you can pick your pitch, go wherever you like.
We prefer the warren which has about 10 -12 pitches and feels like it's own small site. The owners are friendly and helpful.
I would take a chance. It's a really good adults only site.

hi there sorry no pics but weve used back of beyond for stop overs when we travel from brighton to devon.its a really nice site as others have said the place is spotless and so peacefull and easy access off the a31 we will probably be staying there again in september
I forgot to say that this one of the few places where we have been able to put up our tt, awnning,. 1.5 metre awning extention and sun canopy and still have room to sit out the front and have a bbq, and the car didnt have to be parked nearly in the tent!! That was in the Warren, Emmas field is lovely and natural but no ehu, we loved it in that part just for a weekend, anymore than that and we like electics.
